Wow the weekend again and had two days off felt I needed the rest time..Usually people here only have Sunday off ..they are very hard workers those with businesses work til 10pm every night and don't have a day off. Spent last Sunday at a place next to the petshop in Mapsua 15 mins away they let us use for adoption drive with puppies and kitten's adopted two puppies bit slower day than usual and they have some for during the week very supportive and invest there own time and money for that.Did some training in the shop with the puppies they did very. Bit of emotional roller coasta week as I get use to loosing puppies/kittens that got sick which have to be put to sleep..Finding animal's go down so quickly after investing all you can for them, things can be transferred so easily and quickly then having to disinfect and start again any signs of any diseases in any way.Being in the moment and what you can do really and moving on to the next on, Im learning and getting better with letting go and moving on,..Been working with the puppies all this week as the numbers change with people bringing them in and having to keep them separate until a health check is done after de fleaing and worming. 9 were brought in one day. The Rabbies team do there sterilising and vacation of the street dogs they bring in on a big long table at the back and dl at least 30 dogs they bring in each day and take them back when they are fully awake. I see these guys handling the dogs in nets and are all very skilled. There's also a vet that has a open clinic all day as well on Friday there was at least 8 dogs with pavo waiting which made that area and her infected, those cases were treated able..A moment was shared with all that were waiting to see the vet when a mans dog was being put to sleep on the ground in the same area when his tears were flowing everybody else's were to with out a word being said. But I couldn't stand and watch with out a touch to the dog and a rest in peace maybe a culture thing for me.
Are forming some lovely relationships with employees as we learn to understand each other and work together, less words is better on that ..its amazing how much extra words we use when trying to communicate.
But learnt a scream brings many people when being attacked my (Fire) BIG RED ants when thy bite feels like a hot needle going into you they were in with some kittens in there age and were trying to remove the kittens. Been really interacting with people which is great and dealing with adoptions this week de sexing.vacantions for the year are free pretty much they just pay $300 rupees which is $6 NZ
Forming a lovely friendship with my driver and his family.
Doing well eating Indian and realising how ,much less water we can use to clean teeth and toilet paper when things are limited. And how easy it is to do washing in a bucket while having a cold shower.
Posts are getting quiet long as just tending to do them weekends when not working sometimes quiet tired still adjusting. But doing well.Wi Fi bit tricky depending on the whether and how many other people using it..
My thought's to all.

Hi all
Saturday today and a day off. Have really enjoyed my first week at work. Have been quiet impressed with the amount of dogs desexed and vaccinated who people bring in to be done at a very low cost, its like a mass production line on a long table out the back 30 dogs a day. Have seen many different breeds from Boxers to the biggest rotteriesI have ever seen (bit if a status thing for the men)..and they don't want to get here you no what's taken off..And so they also don't want a female dog cause she is the one that has the puppies'''''''''''But they are doing a great job educating slowly there is change...I walk the dogs in one area of kennels most are street dogs that are having treatment or had it. Maggot infected wounds are a major problem as the boys fight over the girls. Rabies nd other diseases are also. Seen the worse cases and seen others heal and go back out on the streets where many people feed them. Often see people feed the cats and dogs. I are learning about letting go also, in many ways for those who go back out and for those that pass.. there's at least 20 to 30 dogs in my area. Learning more about dog communication also when I have to go into a kennel to get a dog out. Help a English lady who works there also with the puppies can go from 2 puppies to 30 just like that. Bathing them for the fist time covered in many many things. Seen dogs just melt at a human touch. Feel the little that I do each day is helping many and the dogs show you that. The rabbies team go out on the streets working there way around bringing street dogs in to be desexed and vaccinated. Going tomorrow with the puppy lady to take the puppies to a pet shop for a adoption puppy camp and will do a bit of training with new owners they do adopt out quiet well and people come in looking at puppies and cats and kittens.Im paying a man down the road to be my pilot to take me to wok each day and pick me up $20NZ a week not sure if I ready yet or brave enough hiring a bike and driving is only 10 -15 mins down the road .Have seen monkeys today closer up around the place Im staying drives all the dogs mad and bark. Are seeing more of the bird life watching falcons fly lovely colourful birds also.At night here mostly you hear dogs barking from all directions. I'm enjoying where Im staying and have a good seize room feels like I have made a home here.Washing dry's very quickly even from hand washing some days are hotter 33..Limited Wi Fi here. Will keep in touch.Getting ready to run outside the bred man on his bike comes and blows his loud horn sometimes sells other food.yay just about as nice as a cold shower when you get home from work.

First dog rescue centre use to be called International animal rescue in Goa. Now called WVS (World Wide Veterinary Service) Hicks International Training centre. Met the people there yesterday and are so happy of any help. Doing a lot of walking seeing local sights and meeting people..May hire a scoter to get around to work etc ..Be nice to be out in the rural area from Monday..Lots of tourists in North Goa but knew that even tho its the low season and cooler. Days here are 28 to 32 still adjusting to that and my swollen feet seems to be coping, will be even better when I climatise . Sounds like it has got bit cold in NZ..funny to say but keep warm and take care.

First week just about....
Hi All
Has been just about a week in India and finding my feet......doing a lot of walking some times in circles.. The smells of all the food is amazing....Am now addicted to the street chai..The people are wonderful and mostly very helpful. Not to hot and quiet manageable 22 to 26 thats why I came to Mumbai first..what I have seen people seem quiet compassionate towards the street dogs and cats. Have been asked quiet a few times to buy some pot maybe I look like I smoke it or look like I need it '''on the main busy street paid a lady bout 1 cent to feed her cow some grass and ball things..locals do it also of course suppose be od luck as cows are sacred...no the traffic stops for a bull wondering through the busy traffic on a main road.Bit careful with the food to being with but eating vegetarian wraps n rice, lots of good options with greens....
Finding places from the lonely planet book has been so cool..Still adjusting and over did it abit in the beginning. But learning to sleep with lot more noise around...the continuous beeping of car horns, the traffic is just crazy but seems to work with such a large population.
Heading to Goa early evening tomorrow will be nice to see another place not in the city..And are there for two months as have a dog rescue centre and monkey rescue centre there I'm volunteering at both for a month.
Thanks so much everyone for your following and your comments.
