Exciting last week in Goa as have been elections and Goa has a new MP member...In fact it has brought out more FIREWORKS...usually you hear some going off for Birthdays celebrations and some lovely displays.Now its like huge bombs going off everywhere really loud. Because of the new MP and it was his Brothers Birthday. at least the animals here are use to them more all year round. Enjoying being part of the culture and people here..lovely to sit and listen to the people in the Hindu temples chatting to the music..Now Goa is having 7 days of holy celebrations where they have a truck with drummers playing and people walk behind it an stop at certain places and throw all the colour dire over each other dance and play instruments and are happy and joyful and have heaps of fun then eat at each place.
Started at the monkey rescue place on Wednesday..has 54 monkeys all rescued as pets or loss of parents native to Goa..Langurs..Macaques..Quiet a few are taken out on long lines to walk around and climb trees, Its realy cool to see them out and enjoying that..some go in swimming in the pool and visitors can pay for a tour and get some monkey contact and swim in the pool with them..not advertised as aren't aloud to but a little money maker to help. Is in a beautiful spot in a rural area where there are snakes saw them on my first day...have to be abit careful as have some poisons ones here and..cleaning cages and getting the monkeys use to me at moment..Some of the monkeys can only be with a male out for walks etc. The lady Jo who runs it is a English women her and her husband set up the dog rescue centre I went to first for 15 year's..and the some one brought them one monkey and they started this now and have built cages at there home which is called the tree house. Sadly Jos husband John passed away 2 years ago as they had already done so much they were aloud to go and take pets from peoples homes supported by the government..and have made so many change's to many laws rules etc regarding animal welfare.Devoted most of there life and financial commitment to animal welfare..Its a beautiful drive out o the tree house around the water.
Going well with the heat wise even feel bit cold when the temp drops.Amaze myself for a person who didnt do spicy or hot food....now trying all the deserts and sweets.
Was in heaven when I brought some brown bread and had TOAST AND JAM.
Moving accommodation tomorrow wont have wi fi until I sort out how to do that for myself....

Will get some photos up soon as don't carry my camera round with me while working..and when I have time to take some to..

The fireworks would be have me shaking in my shoes, very smart animals to have adjusted to such a silly human practise, although I do love the sparklely part of fireworks. Where are you staying now? close to the Monkey rehab place? when you said around the water are you on the coast? will have to check a map to see where in the world Jo is!!! take care lots of love mxo
