Sunday 18th June ...
Arrived Udaipur in Rajasthan yesterday after night in Delhi not the best memory had in Delhi...but return there for few days later after volunteer work for bit better experience...
Udaipur is quiet a very lovely place my travel agent and I were trying to pronounce it before leaving we were saying un diaper. Now I no how to pronounce properly ...
Has big lakes one called pichola..rivers and palaces.temples..Haveli..even a lake palace with many other palaces in that. Its called the city of lakes which are all artificial they say.Beatiful big concrete homes and temples lovely design with roof top viewing/spaces kids playing cricket up there..And monkeys on top of building again YAY and saw Langurs monkeys tonight other ambush ones were macaques and they were waiting for us when leaving.....lucky my helper went first for distraction we walked long way with bag that day to rickshaw man on bike with seats all nags and two people to met up with taxi for airport and we managed to miss all cow pooh on ground with bag on wheels.....
The people here are so lovely helpful and happy; Monsoon starts here 1st July soon.. temp only 35 still intense heat as humidity only 50 percent so far, will all change when monsoon comes enjoy while it lasts. Think have to be more careful about water here and where and what you eat/drink..can smell it when turn tap on think comes from lake..always have brushed teeth with own water but only place where I've had stomach problems is here..everyone uses filter water also..Have carried a water zapper with me is worth its weight in gold ($100)) runs on batteries and uv zappers water for a certain time to take bugs out in water ..also did not want to add any more plastic to India considering the length of time I'm here, its already got to much in wrong places... but pleased to see recycling going on in some places now.
Found place today to move to tomorrow for next month bit less as leave here 17th next month..Hope to start at rescue centre Tuesday...The first man I met here in Udaipur at hotel said anything is possible when asking some questions. Thought that was a very good start ..
Thoughts to all. Take care of you........
