Saturday 16th
Back from 6 days in Pokhara lovely smaller town clean and good roads not dusty cleaner air to breath..YAY..7 hours by bus from Kathmandu. But 10 hours on way back with traffic jams and  road works. Smaller version of Kathmandu but has beautiful lake mountains and treks also really close there. People just lovely had some great long chats with local's at local restaurants and guest house owner and his wife very proud people of there country. Talked of the govt and difficulties trying to get ahead, as govt only in power for 6 to 9 months and different ones join up and have turns uncertainty of where they are going really. Noticed some big hotels being build taking away smaller guest house views of lake and competition. Has some great sites to visit went up to peace Pongola. Kayaked on the lake. Visited temple on the lake. Did some nice close walks. Watched the brave people do paragliding off hill... We had quiet a bit of heavy rain  monsoon finished end of this month for them. Everybody commented they having more heavy rain this year also and change in climate.
Have managed  to visit one more dog rescue centre here in Kathmandu called Kat centre

Not to mention  I only have three days left before going home to NZ..  I feel I'm still processing all that I have been so blessed to see and do on my 8 month journey, sometimes unable to put it all into words. But have felt so supported, appreciated and valued...So much richer in soul and heart on leaving than arriving that's for sure for starters...
