Visited here also sent whole after noon til 10pm that night after the ceremony finished of the blessing of the river water...Was wonderful place many very old temples up the top and lots of monkeys and dog. Could see the earthquake damage still lots of re building to do. Also the cremations happen on the river bank saw at least 6 that day..it is holly and sacred so many people want to come here after there life has finished..Like Varanasi I liked the openness of it and the sharing. Really enjoyed my time here taking it all in and learning more of there beliefs and culture.

The Pashupatinath Temple (பசுபதிநாத் கோவில்)^[1] (Nepali: पशुपतिनाथ मन्दिर) is a famous, sacred Hindu temple dedicated to Pashupatinath and is located on the banks of the Bagmati River 5 kilometres north-east of Kathmandu Valley in the eastern part of Kathmandu,^[2] the capital of Nepal. This temple is considered one of the sacred temples of Hindu faith .The temple serves as the seat of the national deity, Lord Pashupatinath.This temple complex is on UNESCO World Heritage Sites's list Since 1979.^[3][4] This "extensive Hindu temple precinct" is a "sprawling collection of temples, ashrams, images and inscriptions raised over the centuries along the banks of the sacred Bagmati river" and is included as one of the seven monument groups in UNESCO's designation of Kathmandu Valley as a cultural heritage site.^[5] One of the major Festivals of the temple is Maha



The bodies are wrapped in orange brought to the waters edge on simple wooden planks. There feet are to rest in the water  then cover then in flower's. Small water amounts into mouths lips and covered with dye colours also other ritual's while they lay there for quiet a while. Before being carried onto the  set up wooden pile to be lit and placed after other rituals are preformed, before this everyone doing that process also have to wash there exposed skin hair in the river first.
